Startup accelerator CNTTech held the demo day for its 2025 Early Startup Package Rocketship IR Competition on Dec. 17 at the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. The Early Startup Package is a government program run by the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It provides commercialization funding and startup programs to early-stage companies in their first three years of business. CNTTech has served as a host organization for the program since 2020. From August through November this year, CNTTech ran IR competitions in four fields: bio and healthcare, content, big data and AI, and climate tech and ESG. Twelve companies advanced from those competitions to the demo day, where WALK101, which develops AI-based software that assists in reading bone and joint X-rays, took the top award. The 12 participants were Endentix, Antibe, WALK101, Accord Entertainment, Muabemotion, Litera Pictures, Modizens Vision, Raon Data, Neuronsoft, Poscore, Growize and Poem. "The Early Startup Package gave us the foundation to bring our AI-based musculoskeletal analysis solution into clinical settings more quickly," said Dong Sik Chae, CEO of WALK101. "Building on this award, we will grow into a company that supports clinicians' decisions at the point of care and helps create a better treatment environment." Jeon Hwa-seong, CEO of CNTTech, said, "Even in a difficult investment climate, we will strengthen startups' ability to attract investment and expand practical opportunities to connect them with investors, driving the continued growth of Korea's startup ecosystem."
